That's awesome Rob. I just bought a DVD recorder (which I forgot to turn on when I left an hour ago) and I should record them but I get so caught up with stuff around here. I really want to buy the season sets on DVD though. That is on my MUST LIST OF THINGS TO DO.

Hank and the Littlest Hobo!!!! OMG, everytime he mentioned or talked abt the Littlest Hobo I was

Then when Hank tried to get the german shepard to respond to him having a seizure or convulsion (whatever he was doing ) and that other cop came and gave Hank mouth to mouth... What was so friggin' hilarious was when after Hank was disgusted by that act, he said, "Wait, is that ham and cheese?"

The pair of cops who resemble Davis and Karen... When they were eating with Emma. Emma seemed so damn happy. Everyone seemed happy with those two.

The Corner G and The Rub... That whole storyline was just fabulous! It had me cracking up so much.

The Littlest Hobo was an old Canadian Tv show both in the 60s and then a new version in the 80s (Which is the one this story is based on) about a german sheppard whod come drifting into town and solve crimes or help a child find their way home a la Lassie....only, when he was done, hed run off to find another town.

Actually, that was David and Carol, Dog River's new fire dept....they sort of take over as the protectors of the town, causing the originals ( Davis and Karen ) to become jealous and to try to run the newcomers out of town!

Harvest Dance. Funny, but not up to par with what I have seen so far. Maybe I need to see it again. Poor Lacey.

Really? I love that ep, poor Lacey trying SO hard to fit in, trying to help Brent pull off his joke on his Mom, despite the fact that shes a terrible liar; and in the end finding out that she was the one the joke was REALLY on.......and also finding out that the town WAS beginning to accept her. One thing about that ep, Hank was totally nuts to dump Heather at the end, hes unlikely to EVER meet anyone better!
I love the last scene when Brent asks Lacey to dance, then goes into his "Goofy dance" And Lacey says : "Youre not much of a dancer, ARE you?" and Brent replies "Oh Lacey, you big fibber!"
Nothing to say about "Mail fraud", Irene? (Or have you not watched it yet?)

well, i finally watched the littlest Yarbo today and quite enjoyed it - the dog didn't look the same as the Hobo to me, but he did a good job. You could just tell what he was thinking when he was trying to tell the firefighters about the fire - "STUPID HUMANS!"

so... when are they gonna make fun of the Beachcombers - or is Bruno Gerussi to "west coast" for Saskatchewan?

Wow! You know your classic Canadian TV there Rob...Well, they sort of made fun of the Beachcombers in the first season 5 ep; along with another Canadian classic, Street legal...there's a bit about that in the season 5 thread (Full of spoilers, of course)

I love the part when he walks into Brent's gas station/store, Brent is behind the counter with his nose in a comic book; the dog picks something off the shelf and walks out of the gas station and Brent, without batting an eye, or taking his eyes off the comic book says "Come again!"

yeah, I haven't seen the Hobo in the past 20 years or so, but i do remember it (i'll probably have nightmares about the theme song for the next couple of weeks) - and I probably haven't seen the Beachcombers for a lot longer than that, but they are just ACHING to be made fun of now.

that's what I love so much about this show; they pack every moment with such comedic value, they waste nothing!
