Default What are some of the things in life you just don't GET?

This was a very interesting topic on the radio this morning and I know we all have many of these but the ones that come right off the top of my head is

"Why do a person calling on the phone get served before a person inside the store of a diner?

"Why do some people never have the money already in their hand once they reach the counter instead of holding up the line and then reaching for the money?

I don't get why human being have to make simple things harder than they have to be.

Good thread.

I don't get why people feel the need to have a cell phone stuck in their ears all damn day. Who has to talk THAT much?

What is it abt people, especially women who feel the need to buy name brand items such as COACH, GUCCI, just to name a few? Who the hell do you want to impress? Why is it important to have such materialistic things and tell the world how stupid you are for spending $500 on a purse?!

I don't get why people are cruel to animals.

I don't get what is so special abt having pants three sizes too big for you and have them hang down your a$$. What I really don't get is seeing adult men who are FATHERS/PARENTS and they dress like these stupid juveniles. GROW UP!

I agree. I also wonder if they ever listen to how they sound when the talk. Doesn't it embarrass you to punctuate every other word with "****" and "****ing"? Among other things....

I don't get why people have children when they can't be bothered to take care of them and provide for them and stuff.

I don't get why a telephone bill in the hospital if you are sick is more than it would be when you are home paying a regualr bill

well said. I never get people who do stupid things (like toilet papering a house or speeding well over the speed limit) and when they get caught, dont want to grow up and face the consequences

Oh God yes. It is called being "uneducated". Another thing they do is say these words after every other word when speaking:

"You know what I mean?"

"You know what I'm saying" - Last week in the grocery store this guy trying to look like a pimp with his bling and so forth was on his cell phone and he said that phrase 15 TIMES IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! I kid you not, I counted because I could not believe he kept saying that. He was in my line right in front of me and it was so annoying to hear him say it.

"Like...like, you know, like...like...like...you know, you know...like"

I don't understand why some people have an innate need to be mean and nasty to other people, particularly on the road.

I don't understand why athletes and celebrities get paid so much money and why it's more than civil servants such as firemen, police officers, teachers.

I don't understand why Americans are so fascinated with corruption.

I don't understand why Americans don't revere the elderly.

I don't understand why I can't eat raw cookie dough anymore.

Millions of people will pay all kinds of money to watch them perform; wear their clothes, cologne, gear; drink the beverages they endorse, collect their trading cards, and so on. It really only makes sense that all the money made on these entertainers, goes to said entertainers.

I agree with all. I mean, c'mon, a $20 purse still holds your stuff and you won't get so mad when it gets dirty or wet or ripped. Aaaannnddd...I'll have $480 left over to buy all sorts of stuff!! I win. Same thing applies to clothes. Cheap Old Navy stuff serves me just as well and some overly expensive outfit.

So we have to blame ourselves for their disgustingly large paychecks?

A good excuse to screw you out of more money because paying online just happens to be convenient for people. It's just another crock of crap spewed out by big business.
