Default Season 1 DVD sales look pretty good.

The other night I was checking out Amazon.com and DVD Empire.com. It looks like Benson season 1 sales are doing all right in comparison to Sony's other releases. It's sales or a lot better then Silver Spoons and What's Happening which they have released all 3 seasons of. The good news is that Benson is doing about the same as the Jeffersons and Sony has released all 6 seasons of that show.

Thanks for the info. I wish we knew the sales numbers and what Sony's target sales were for the DVD (you'd think there'd be a way the public can find out, wouldn't you?)

Anyway, here's to Season 2!
Hope we see it soon!

Thanks for posting this. It is keeping me optimistic that we get all of the seasons of this show on DVD. I have not given up hope that we can see on one of the DVD's all of the endings that were supposedly taped for the ending.

Now that would really be something to see. I'm just hoping for bloopers on the Season 2 DVD.

How is all this in comparison to One Day at a Time Season 1?

It's pretty easy to check up on DVD sales just go to Amazon or DVD Empire.com and search DVD and the shows title then scroll down. It's about halfway down the page on both. Here is the numbers that I came up with. On Amazon One Day at a Time had a current sales ranking of 9435 and Benson had a current ranking of 10207. Over on DVD Empire One Day at a Time had a all time sales ranking of 20129 and Benson showed a all time ranking of 18175. The lower the number the better the sales and we also have to take into consideration that One Day at a Time was released 3 months before Benson.

Well, the sale Amazon.com has going right now can only help. They have it listed at $17.99! That's an awesome price!

It seems that it was doing really well before that anyway but figure on a lot of people buying it as a Christmas gift at that price. I expect we'll be seeing Season 2.

That cheap, huh? Wow - good to know! If these sales keep up, then they have no excuse NOT to release Season 2.
