Searching for my "father"? Season 2 Ep. 1 "Honeymoon Express"

Okay, strange request and a bit of a long shot, but here it goes.

My mother's husband in the 70's (long divorced now) was Ron Chabidon, who played Tom McBride in the Honeymoon Express episode. He adopted me while they were married. Haven't seen or heard from him since the late 70's (when he left the family) and I was just a little boy. Have often thought about him (and remember him) and knew he was a "model/actor" and heard that he may be living in LA area...but who knows. He is Canadian by birth.

Put Google to the test and found that he was in this QL episode. Ran out to buy it and watched it. Yup, that's him...although his scenes are very short. He was also in a film called the "Experts" with Travolta in 1989. There is nothing more on imdb.com.

So....question - does anyone have any clues how I may be able to find out if he is still around???...acting??? where he may be???? haven't been able to find anything so far and am not interested in discussing this with my mother. Just really curious, nothing more nothing less. Any advice or "pointing me in the right direction" would be appreciated.
