You know, I've been thinking.....with RTN adding a lot of affiliates lately and expanding at a decent pace, will we see more networks like that launching, that are designed to be on a digital subchannel? As more Americans get access to DTV, it seems logical.
Our NBC affiliate has a 24 hour weather thing, which is pretty good. Other than that, none of the affiliates around here are doing anything with their subchannels right now. It'd be nice to see some additional programming occupy those channels. Does anyone know if ION is carried exclusively on a HD subchannel anywhere? Seems that would be a good way for them to be carried in markets where there's not an affiliate. What are your thoughts? |

HD subchannels? I think you meant DT. HD networks would be the same as the regular feed of the network, but in high definition. I don't think ION has a DT feed.

You mean to tell me WVUE, WGNO, etc does not have a digital feed? I find that hard to believe. Look for WVUE-DT or WGNO-DT.

Yes, because they don't program anything different. If RTN were to come, it would be on that substream.
