Need Help with a Case - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi all- I was watching one of the UM knock-offs on A&E about babyknappers
and I vaguely recalled a similar case on UM- a woman with short spikey hair
abducting a Hispanic baby from the mother at gunpoint in one of the NY boroughs. Ring a bell anyone? If so, any updates -tho unlikely

Such a sad case. I remember the segment opens with Marlene's family singing "Happy Birthday" and having a cake commemorating her birthday (as they do every year). Its amazing that they can make a composite sketch for her as she would look in her teens considering she was abducted as an infant.

Didn't the abduction occur literally just steps from the hospital? Both mother and baby were terribly, terribly unlucky.

If anything, I know for certain that the abduction took place near the hospital.
