Alternate theme song - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi,

Was there ever an alternate theme song at the end of the Andy Griffith show? We used to have a VHS compilation of shows and I swear there was an alternate theme song. My wife does not believe me....am I going nuts here?

Your VHS tapes could be like the $5.00 discount rack DVD's that I picked up that don't use the "real" theme songs. I suspect it is because of music rights that they weren't willing to pay for.
