Default Has anyone ever went back to visit an old job?

I did it one time back in 1999 and never returned but it's defintely something I probably won't do again. Some idiots came back to visit this job after being laid off, now that would be fine if you are WORKING but to come and visit and you are still unemployed is just goofy

Quite often. I loved everybody there. I loved my bosses. I loved every minute of my time there.

The only down side is, each time I go back, there are fewer people I recognize. And nothing is quite the same. So my visits have become increasingly infrequent.

I worked in a shoe store for a while in college. I've moved on to bigger things, but the woman who was my assistant manager is now the manager of the shoe place. So I go by every couple of months to tell her hi and see what's going on with the store.

Yeah I've done it just to visit some friends that I use to work with. There's nothing wrong with just stopping in to say hi once in a while, get the latest gossip.

So you're going to met with everyone you use to work with outside the workplace??? When you can just walk in and talk to each person or just to say hi to people. Theres nothing wrong with that. Not everyone has hatred towards an old job, and lot of people leave in good terms.

I loved my old job and had many friends there, I started probably going back and meeting guys for lunch or drinks about once every few months but now I swing by around once a year.

I don't think I'd hang out with anyone I worked with (or currently work with) outside of the job.

I have, a time or two. Mainly, I just move on.

Nah. I never made any friends I'd want to see again. I wonder about who is still around at my old job, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recognize anyone. The job before that one was such a horrible experience, that if I ever set foot on that property again, it would be with a can of gasoline and a match.

I once had a job that WAS REALLY HORRIBLE so I identify. Fortunately, it was only one. There were a few I didn't care for but only one that was TRULY ODIOUS. Dwelling on the nice experiences, there are some people I've stayed in touch with through the years--people who were really sweet, really dependable, trustworthy. The others--the backstabbers, the vicious, the sick, the sociopathic--well, I will not get a voodoo doll and stick pins in it, just say a prayer of thanks they are no longer in my life. Thank God, and I do mean a real heartfelt thank you to God, the people in my current job are great! But of course, there will always be those few--but even those few where I am now are not so bad--at least in comparison to what I've expereinced in the past.
