Chevy Chase takes Field in "Brothers" guest spot - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Chevy Chase will rekindle old memories for Sally Field in several episodes of the ABC drama "Brothers & Sisters."

He will play Stan Hirsh, the highschool boyfriend of Nora Walker (Field). It is shaping up to be a busy romantic season for Nora who also has a new love interest played by Danny Glover.

Chase, who now has his own recurring segment on "Saturday Night Live's" "Weekend Update," is set to being filming "Brothers & Sisters" on Thursday.

It's good to see Chase getting into some sitcoms. I've always been a big fan of his acting and his comedic style.

it will be interesting to say the least. Chevy was great in the 70's and 80's but hasn't really done much of note since Christmas Vacation, plus his reputation for his attitude on SNL has gotten out and tarnished things a bit (he was banned after his 1997 guest hosting gig for the way he treated everyone). I think the show is really good and if anything, maybe it can give Chase a new career on television. After all, his movie career is a big bust and he turned down "American Beauty", which definately would've given his film career a boost.
