Annie Lennox - Songs Of Mass Destruction
Any other fans here? I've always appreciated her and thought she had a hell of a voice. Like a review for her album even said, she's one of the few white vocalists who was able to duet with Aretha Franklin and not humiliate herself next to her.
This album IMO is without a doubt her strongest work since 1992's Diva. A general complaint with her last couple albums is that she's mellowed and lost her edge so much, Peace with The Eurythmics and Bare were both chock full of AC mush and were way too mellow and slow. Well, if you love your Annie angry, rocking and with an edge, this album is a long time coming.
