Default Danny Bonaduce Won't Be Charged for Face-Plant

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Danny Bonaduce won't face charges for giving former "Survivor" contestant Johnny Fairplay a face-plant on stage at an awards show.

A charge evaluation document released by the district attorney's office Friday said there was "insufficient evidence" to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Bonaduce committed battery because Fairplay "initiated contact and acted offensively."

Fairplay, 33, said he underwent 2 1/2 hours of dental surgery after Bonaduce tossed him over his shoulders at the Fox Reality Channel's Really Awards on Tuesday.

The evaluation worksheet said Fairplay jumped on Bonaduce, "wrapped his arms and legs around the suspect and thrust his pelvis into the suspect's body."

Deputy District Attorney Jeffrey Boxer wrote that Bonaduce did not intentionally injure Fairplay and his "actions fell within the realm of self-defense."

Fairplay's police report claimed Bonaduce walked on stage uninvited and made a "derogatory statement."

Fairplay later said he was giving Bonaduce a hug, one of his signature moves as a performer.

A video of the incident captured the sound of the audience booing.

Fairplay, whose real name is Jon Dalton, appeared in the 2003 CBS show "Survivor: Pearl Islands" and came in third.

Bonaduce, 48, was a child star on "The Partridge Family," starred in the 2005 reality show "Breaking Bonaduce," and has recently co-hosted Adam Carolla's radio show.

Once again, a blatant case of "Celebrity "Justice""

Maybe Danny should just go on Celebrity Boxing again.

I can't stand Fairplay. He is a cocky s.o.b. and he thinks he is a ladies' man, he is all that, blah blah blah. He needed a good a$$-whoopin and Danny is just the guy to do it!!!! You go Danny!!!! I hope Fairplay's new teeth won't have that horrendous overbite he had before.

It was obvious Fairplay was just clowning around, Bonaduce was out of line throwing Fairplay off like that. He could have broken the guys neck. Bonaduce's action caused the injury, the least they could do is order him to pay for Fairplay's dental repairs.

Danny was out of line, no matter how cocky a person is, Danny didn't need to resort to violence.

Well, I am sure a man doesn't appreciate another man jumping on him, gripping him and grinding on him like he is a dog in heat. If someone did that to me, I would have thrown their stupid-ass off of me too. Which is what Danny did. He didn't hit the guy, he merlely threw him off of him. Fairplay landed on the ground and hit the floor with his teeth. You get what you ask for. Besides, Fairplay has a history of getting into people's faces, it is a wonder he is back on SURVIVOR after getting into it with the show's host's brother.

LOL leave it to Irene to favor the hoodlum Bonaduce and excuse his violent behavior. Fairplay was just clowning around on stage, that was obvious from the beginning, Bonaduce was out of line. Fairplay is no choir boy either, but in this case all he was guilty of is a lack of better judgment and was apparently unaware of Bonaduce's violent history. These two guys are crazy anyway, put em both together and something wild is gonna happen.

For sure. If anything, they both look like they could be brothers. Fairplay was a drunken fool, so he had no judgment, good or bad. Danny obviously is a person who hates the thought of a guy humping on him. If I had my choice, Fairplay would the be last fool I'd want on me too.

They both acted inappropriately, but Bonaduce was the one out of line. He didn't have to throw him over his head and behind his back like that, he could have broken the poor guys neck. But like I said, put these two guys together and something crazy's gonna happen. Now if they were smart, they would have invited Bonaduce to appear on Survivor 16 as well. Bonaduce and Fairplay together on Survivor. That would be sure to cause controversy and boost the ratings!

Oh no... That would be something to watch!

I am a Survivor fan and I am disgusted that Fairplay is back (against the host, Jeff Probst wishes), but I can only hope he gets voted off quick.

I'm surprised too that Fairplay is on the new Survivor season. I thought Probst said he wouldn't have anything to do with Fairplay anymore. Fairplay probably won't last long in the game, he's likely an early boot. Probst no doubt took pleasure in snuffing out his torch. Will be something to see when that episode airs.

Probst did say he wouldn't have anything to do with him and Fairplay wouldn't have a chance back at Survivor if they ever did an all-star episode. However in Entertainment Weekly, there was an article where Probst stated when they had their meeting to discuss the upcoming all-star edition, he vetoed the idea of bringing Fairplay back, to which Probst was basically told he had no say so on that part of the show and was told "sorry". Fairplay also commented saying he "hates Probst" and he believes Probst hates him too. Well, I would too if he messed with my family member.
