Default Muniz slams Lohan's post-rehab career

Muniz slams Lohan's post-rehab career

Actor Frankie Muniz is reportedly furious that Lindsay Lohan's career is better than ever following her ongoing stint in rehab.

The Malcolm In The Middle star claimed it was unfair that Lohan's treatment for drugs and alcohol addictions has not harmed her chances of securing more roles.

He said: ''Her last four movies have failed miserably, but she's still going to have a £5 million paycheck.

''As a young actor, you have to mature very fast in an adult business...and there aren't enough people who say 'no'. When Lindsay was pulled over for the second time for a DUI, nobody said, 'I'll never work with her again'. It's ridiculous to me."

The Mean Girls actress is reportedly staying at the Cirque Lodge in Utah for longer than expected after failing a drugs test.

He's got a point. But i think her career will be at a standstill for a while.

As Frankie mentioned, her movies don't make any money.

She's not a great actress. Plus, it will cost a fortune to insure her.

So is she worth all the hassle?

Is she worth it? In a word - NO.

i agree with you two. i might be wrong about this but had a celebrity who is not as well known in the news and media as lindsay lohan, done what she did and ended up in rehab, or be it a member of the public did exactly the same thing as her, their careers/lives would've been affected.

its not just that if you have money, but that if you have enough money you can do what you like and get away with it, even if means doing a lot of stupid **** along the way and not have a care in the world for anyone else

Well, I guess I spoke too soon.

Lilo is out of rehab and set to start filming a movie next week.

I guess there's always going to be some film company stupid enough to hire her.

So Mr. Sour Grapes wants people to refuse to work with her, ever again? What a gentleman. Many celebs have struggle with addiction. If that was the criteria used, we'd never see many stars onscreen again such as Robert Downey Jr., Keifer Sutherland, Kelsey Grammar, the list is almost endless. Frankie Muniz is reportedly furious. Wow.

janice, you made an interesting point. lots of celebrities have been through drug addiction, todd bridges is one of them. frankie has singled out lohan but perhaps it is because she is young, he is young and lohan is supposed to set a good example for the other youngsters to follow.

Could be, but that's not what he said. Personally, I think it's bad form for celebs to publicly knock other celebs. I think that when Rosie, Trump, Cruise (Brooke Shields), etc. do it. To me, it comes across as petty and judgemental. Having lost two sisters to substance abuse, I know more than I wish I did about the disease (and it is a recognized disease by the AMA). It's not a question of "Just saying no" Muniz, with all due respect to Nancy Reagan.

I'd have respect for Muniz if he had said something along the lines of, "It's a shame that Lindsay has been afficted with this disease. I hope she wins this battle." To me, he just comes across as kicking someone when they're down, and a woman too. What a guy.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! You are now one of my favorite posters on here!

Thank you Janice! I was just about to type the same thing. Frankie is just mad because the last hit movie he had was a kiddle movie from 2002 and now he's just doing straight to video releases.

I'm tired of people dogging Lindsay. The poor girl is trying to get her life in order, people should give her some credit. And like you said, if this was a criteria, then a whole lot of entertainers, PAST and present wouldn't have worked ever again.

People have bashed celebs for struggling with addictions and as a former addict, it's not fair. I'm very passionate about immature people like Muniz basing people like Lindsay.

And for the poster who said Frankie singled out Lindsay because she is young and needs to set a good example to the kids out there needs to realize that Frankie himself, isn't such a good role model either.

I thought Frankie quit acting to become a race car driver. So I was a little surprised to read this.

I hope Lindsay gets better, I really do. Even though I'm not a fan of hers, she's still a person, so I want her to be okay.

I'm no Lindsay fan, but I detect jealousy on Frankie's end. Malcolm In The Middle unceremoniously dipped in popularity and ended with almost no fanfare and Frankie isn't quite getting the roles as an adult that he during puberty. When was the last time you heard the name Frankie Muniz before this article? Yea, Malcolm was a hit when it first came on, and pairing him up as Cher's "boy toy" in Stuck On You was hysterical, but as of 2007, he's about as hot as Devon Sawa.

It's true Lindsay's last few movies have been flops but she's still a star. Brad Pitt went through a period of about five or six years where not one of his movies was a hit but yet he remained popular during that patch of flop movies because his star power is undeniable.
