One-time shirt for Lucy. I used to wear that on the softball field. With all her wonderful outfits, this one stands out as an odd choice!

In season one we did see Lucy quite a bit wearing some scarf-type thingy on her hair. Something I am sure many housewives of that era can identify with. Who would want Lucy looking oh so glamourous and perfect...a la June Cleaver.

Also, that baseball t-shirt of Lucy's makes her seem so down home wearing that. Though, we won't see much of Lucy looking like that in the later seasons. I know that is the scene abt the new neighbors. I bet Lucy chose to wore that shirt so that she would be comfortable when dealing with posing as a chair.

What about the weird thing she's wearing in the first scene of "The Gossip"? It looks like a skirt from behind, but it's completely open in the front. She's already wearing slacks underneath, so it seems pointless. And I think it just looks strange. What is that?

I know of what you are referring to, I just don't know what they are called. I don't get that either. I mean, why wear something that is half a skirt and you are already wearing pants?

Wait, maybe it is to cover the tush area? I have to see the outfit to get an idea of how the pants are. Yoo hoo, Stacy, pic please???

You mean this thing? Even as a kid I thought it was weird. The outfit doesn't even seem to match! What was the point?

Thanx for that pic. I was thinking right now maybe to cover up the tightness in the butt area, but that couldn't be it. Those types of pants were fashionable, no reason for her to cover the tush area.

Yes, yes, that's it! I thought maybe one of you women would know what that is and the purpose. I thought Lucy was so well dressed on the show, except for that. I frankly think it's ugly.

Nothing wrong with her tush, either. Well, we can be glad for one thing: she only wore it once!

Yes, be thankful for the small things in life.

BTW, she wore something similar in another episode. I can't for the life of me remember which episode(s) but she wears this lovely dress-like outfit and it too has pants with it, but the dress spreads out like a skirt and it doesn't completely cover the front. God, I am going bonkers trying to figure that episode/scene. I think it is from the magazine writer episode where the lady visits the Ricardos for the day and takes pics.

Yeah, let us know if it comes to you. I don't remember myself. I think her clothes looked pretty chic in the third season, and she wore big hoop earrings a lot that year, which I think looked good on her. Have you ever noticed in several episodes a little past halfway through the third season, she had a beauty mark on her face? It was odd because suddenly it was there, and there was no mention of it. It was just there. And then after a couple episodes, suddenly it was gone.

A beauty mark? Really? wow, I never noticed. Now I really have to look out for that.

Her wardrobe really did become more chic as the seasons passed. I really loved her outfits. I am really trying to think where I have seen that particular dress/outfit I referred to above. It is beautiful. She wore it around the house. I can see it in my head but can't pinpoint what episode...damnit!

I know what you mean! It was in my brain too! Is this the one? It was actually one of Eloise's most popular outfits, seen in 10 episodes.

YES YES YES!!!!!! That's the one. I was right, it was in the magazine interview episode. Thank you Stacy!!!!!! I believe that was some sort of "lounging pajamas" type of outfit.

Rick is this what you were remembering? These are shots from "The Black Wig," toward the end of season three.
