Default Could someone help me figure this out?

What episode are these scenes taken from? These scenes are from season 1 and 2 openings, but what stories were they from?

So far, I can verify that the photo on the bottom (the one with the man firing a gun) is from the segment about the 1987 murder of a Florida gun collector. I saw the segment only once, when it aired on NBC in September 1989. To the best of my knowledge, it was never shown on Lifetime.

Was the second one possibly from the capture of Louis Bourgeois, a French-Canadian man who escaped from US Marshals with his friend, Jean-Marie Gagnon? And the first, Sheldon Weinberg, who committed Medicare fraud? Not sure, just guessing.

Todd Mcafee. I had a feeling it was from that segment. Not sure why.

I'll have to watch the Jean-Marie Gagnon segment again, but I doubt it. I think there was a similar scene like this in the Gagnon segment - a dude running around a corner and getting confronted by the cops. However, the guy in the mystery clip has longish hair and is wearing a black leather jacket. Definitely has a biker look about him. I think the guy (Louis Bourgeois) in the JM Gagnon segment was pretty clean cut and may have been wearing a prison uniform(?) with a blue jacket.

Good call on Sheldon Weinberg. It could be him. I don't know if Lifetime has shown the entire Weinberg segment. I only remember seeing an update on Lifetime, so maybe this mugshot scene was not shown in the update. It certainly does resemble him, and the plaque he is holding does say NYCPD - I'm pretty sure the Weinberg case was out of New York.

Its weinberg I would say 99% sure its Weinberg. As for the guy in photo two - I have this one in my collection but I'm blanking at the moment...isn't that Claude Banks Tillman? - aka Banks is a money name? - isn't from that segment. I could be wrong but I've seen this one before.

Not sure if you're right. I have not watched that one in a long time. However, I am pretty sure that Claude Banks Tillman is an alias of Michael Wade Mohan, "the man prisons could not hold" (according to RS)

not much of a "quiz" when the author doesn't even know the answers

Well this has got to be the toughest screen caps quiz yet....

Well I thought of #1 being Weinberg but it isn't the actual photo of Sheldon Weinberg so if it is him its of course the actor who portrayed him.

This is just a guess but the guy in #2 reminds me of the build of Michael Scott Martin.

When I first saw the third one I thought of Travis Wade Duncan and his two cohorts but I don't think it aired that early.

My memory of the segment is mostly vague, but I still remember a few things about it, including the fact that Todd's murder occurred in the summer of 1987.

I googled "Todd McAfee" and "murder" and came up with the link below. It is a concise profile on the case.

#3 is Harold and Thelma Swain

somewhat related to this: If I'm correct, a scene from the "Carol" segment was shown frequently in the openings for quite some time before the segment actually aired. It's a particulary haunting scene: showing the reflection of a car window, where the man shoots and the glass shatters. I've got to wonder if they held off showing that segment for awhile, for whatever reason.
