I think that the Price is right first episode will be the subject of my weekly rant for 10/20/07. Looks like the set from the fall of 1977

lol

You mean you won't be watching The View-LOL. I'll be looking forward to the rant.

Not a bad set at all. I love the purple and green - they go good together. Other than that, a very plain set, but that's how TPiR always is . . . good and simple. I'm not sure if I can picture Drew Carey on that set, though.

Lets just say in the few clips I have seen so far of the new show, it is very weird to hear rich fields say the words and now here is the star of the price is right DREW CAREY & then to see him come thru the doors.... Tough to deal with.

I told everyone when I got a glimpse of it back in august that it definilty has a retro look to it, in fact I think I used the words " modern day retro look"

It is the 2007 version of a 1972 set. I actually like it, we will see how drew does on the set...... TICK TICK TICK till oct 15th

Wow! Too bad you were not able to post the pictures but at least you provided us fans with a link. It's interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes. I can hardly wait for October 15th!

One thing I have learned over the years working in broadcasting is that when you make a contact whereever it may be..you have to keep the relationship solid & trust worthy, He sent me the pictures with clear instructions not to post them until he gave me the go ahead. I honor his wishes, not to mention he is my backstage ticket to the show when I am in LA. even if that were not the case You have to earn the trust of your "inside contacts"

This is the last week of reruns with Bob, the show on Oct 12th will be bobs last show from june 15th...then the following monday...SEASON 36!!!!

I agree with what you said. You definitely don't want to mess up a good contact by going against their wishes but when they do give you the ok it's nice coming to this message board to get some backstage news.

Thanks for letting me know about the june 15th show. I got my DVD recorder
all set.
