Question So Many Shows So Little Time

With all the new shows and all the new episodes of the older shows, are you having trouble keeping up with them? One night I had 4 VCR's recording.

It's like there's this great big video schmogasbord. So many sitcoms I like that I just focus on the one's I love or am very fond of.

I've only committed myself to three new shows this season, Back To You, Damages, and I'll give Caveman a try, and a few others on HBO. I got burned last year with a few dramas that left viewers high and dry with no answers. Vanished, Daybreak, The Nine, Smith, to name a few. If a show becomes a hit now, I'll find a way to catch up.

I'm not bothered when a sitcom fails, just disappointed. I liked last year's, 'Help Me, Help You', but when it was cancelled, it wasn't as if there was a cliffhanger or unanswered questions.

We got one in the living room and then 3 for the bedrooms. One has a DVD/VCR recorder on it but I can't figure out how to record using the DVD part. You can't just push the record button.

I absolutely agree Janice. I make my decision on whether to stick with new shows very early on. I absolutely refuse to commit to a serialized show with so-so ratings. I have been burned a lot of times by networks ( ABC being the worst) that cancel shows in midseason without any regards to the fans of these shows.

As for the new shows, I have my VCRs working OT right now and I'm sampling quite a few of these new shows. I'll probably drop some of them within the next few weeks.

Oh I was so upset when Help Me, Help You was removed. I liked it.

Well, I bought a DVD recorder today. It is a dual DVD/VHS. This way I can record what I have on VHS tapes. I already played around with it today and I am so glad I bought it. I hadn't recorded on VHS in so long because I didn't want to spend money on blank tapes that only take up lots of room.

I am at Ann's comment abt Sam's selling VHS by the dozen! That is funny. I bought this huge stack of blank DVD's to record on.
