....the short-lived revival of "MAVERICK" called "BRET MAVERICK"? (since it was about Bret, and not Bret & Bart-although Bart had a cameo at the end of the final episode.

it was on NBC and only ran for 1 season-"BRET MAVERICK". It was a spin off of sorts, of the show "MAVERICK" which aired on ABC in the late 50s to early 60s.
This one though, was just about Bret Maverick (who Garner also played in "MAVERICK"). I remember NBC showed one episode later, in, I think, 1987. |

Encore Westerns has been running "Bret Maverick" on Saturday mornings for the last 2+ years at least. Currently, they're running the earlier "Maverick" series every weekday morning. (2 years ago, they were running "Maverick" much more frequently.)

"Maverick" is available? On DVD? Officially? Legally? Am I reading you correctly?
I just checked Amazon, and all I saw was the "Television Favorites" disc with 3 episodes on it. (Also, I've never seen the "Bret Maverick" pilot on DVD; only the "New Maverick" pilot. They were two different shows.) |
