Default Move over Flavor Flav and New York...here comes TEQUILA

MTV to air bisexual dating show

A bisexual dating show featuring a woman who gained fame on MySpace is in the works for MTV.

"A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," in which 16 men and 16 women will compete for Tequila's affections, is set to debut Oct. 9 on the cable channel, Television Week reported Thursday.

"Tila Tequila made a name for herself by doing things her way, captivating legions of fans online, both men and women," said MTV executive Tony DiSanto. "Now she is taking that attitude and sex appeal to her own TV series where she is looking for a mate ... by again, captivating a group of both men and women."

Tequila's MySpace page includes racy photos, her music and a Time magazine description of the singer-model-actress-blogger (born Tila Nguyen) as an Internet sensation and "the Madonna of MySpace."

I didn't think it was possible, but MTV just got a little more trashier.

Did you ever hear her song "F*** Ya Man"? She sounds like Tommy from the Rugrats.

Yes it did. Way to go MTV. I guess they are trying to "outdo" VH1. I seen the promos.

Oh No

I'm sorry but as much as I like Tila, I will NOT be watching this show. This show is a horrible display of bisexuals. Here comes the ever old stereotype about bisexuals that has made me angry since forever.

This "bisexual" dating show is offensive to me because this is telling everyone, including clueless straights and angry lesbians(whom most, by the way, cannot stand bisexual women because of this) that bisexual girls are easy and can't make up their minds about which sex they want to be with.

I saw previews with this show with my father and all he can do is laugh. He is one of the many people who think bisexuals are confused, horny idiots. I'm sorry for ranting. but this is a shame. As a bisexual, this is making me very upset that MTV will have the gall to do this.

It's absolutely ridiculous!!
They'll do anything for ratings nowadays.
I won't be watching it either.

This is so offensive to me and nothing really offends me at! I will not watch it, not for second. No, I won't give this show a chance because I already know what's it going to be about:

The straight men and lesbians will have no idea about each other and when they do, they will be shocked .

Tila will end up with the man.
When Tila does, closed minded people(including some in the homosexual community and my father and husband) will point out "See, that's all a girl needs... a man to change her mind about the same sex" .

Regardless if it is a bisexual woman or a straight woman, these shows are pathetic. You know it is all abt entertainment. You mean to tell me they are really searching for love? They haven't a clue.

Entertainment or not, it's stirring up the stereotype about us 'dirty' bisexuals and I don't find that entertaining.

Well what some find entertaining, others may not. But I don't think MTV is doing anything different. I mean, they do show videos (whenever that is ) that shows women being dehumanized, glorified as sexual objects and so forth, so this show is nothing different than what they did before or continue to show. They have REAL WORLD which to me is not real. It is not the same show it used to be. They try and cast "pretty" people, especially girls they hope will hook up with their fellow roommates, guys or girls. They hope that the more sex that is conveyed or shown is better for them and their ratings. MTV doesn't care abt stereotypes.

I hope they air more of these shows during family hour. That way kids will get a view of the "real world" and we won't have to have that embarrassing talk about the facts of life.

Good luck, kids!

And they really need to air that commercial more often during the day that talks about a feminine product: use it after your period, after douching, after intercourse. That about covers it. If your kids don't have questions about all the crap they see on TV, then they already know all about these things. Think about it.

OMG! You have a way of putting things. I love it!
