my play on words was shocking(ly awful)
What did you guys and gals think about this one? It all points to somebody in Jamaica being responsible for me: disturbing evidence before the investigation could start, video tape being taped over before it could be viewed, etc. They did mention a disappear on her own accord angle, but this is one instance where it seemed extremely far-fetched. The sad thing is, she wasn't even supposed to be in Jamaica. Any thoughts? |

I just watched this case last night. Cuz I just got my volume 11 disc in the mail. It seems to me that she is probably dead in Jamaica. I don't think the bartender killed her but I do think he knows more than he told. It is not the shady angles placed on the resort's behavior that has me thinking foul play though. I've seen instances of sloppy behavior that was not shady. For example, I ran a retail store a few years ago and we got hit bad by a shoplifter one night. The next day when the police came to fill out a report (non-emergency theft calls usually had to wait til next day) the closing manager from the night before had failed to change out security tape from the night before and so the evidence was lost. Oops, but not a malicious thing at all. I still think she's dead but I also cannot completely discount the seductive lure a place like Jamaica can have on a person BUT with as much time as her parents have seemed to spend there since her disappearance it seems a little out there that they wouldn't have found anyone who has seen her since.

Well I tend to think that Claudia met with foul play. I think the bartender should be one of the lead suspects. Didn't police dogs find her scent in his car and room? I think a possible scenario could have been a sexual assault and she was killed so she wouldn't talk or maybe Claudia overdosed on drugs and the person she was with feared they would be implicated. I don't really buy that she's on some secluded part of Jamaica with some "rastafarian".

Absolutely; I read that her scent was found in the bartender's car and room. What the heck then, why no arrest or any new info???? |

Well have any of you ever seen the film "Turistas"? - Its a horror film but its based on some real scary things that happen in places like Jamaica, South America, Haiti. In a lot of these countries human trafficing for sex slaves, organ transplants etc are all too common and are likely responsible for the disappearances of a lot of tourists who go missing while on vacation to these exotic places.
The economic situation in these countries is not exactly what it is here in the United States which leads to a lot of desperate people and situations that could've resulted in the disappearance of Claudia Kirschoch, Lisa Bishop and numerous others. Its interesting to note that most people who disappear are young attrative women in their 20s like Bishop for example. You rarely hear stories about say people in their 40s-60s vanishing. So yeah in my opinion Kirschoch is likely the victim of some type of crime here either to do with sex slavery or the organ trade. Either way the likelyhood in my mind that she is still alive is very very slim. |

I just wanted to add,the hotel chain where Claudia was staying rotates their employees (or at least they used to back then) and so the bartender,or anyone else there who might have done it,could be at any of those resorts.
Never think you are ok just because you are staying at a different resort where someone went missing,if it's from the same chain or management. |
