Default Shows where there are less female characters in the main cast and vice versa

what shows have a main cast of characters where there are more male ones in the group compared to the female ones? for instance in caroline in the city, there are only two: caroline and annie, whilst there are three guys: richard, del and charlie.

also what shows have a main cast of women characters outnumbering the male ones? for eg, another example would be ugly betty; we have betty herself, christina, amanda, wilhemina, hilda and alexis- even though she is a transexual and was born a man, she is considered as a woman, whilst the men are daniel, marc, justin, henry, ignacio

Gilligan's Island- 3 Women, 4 Men
Dukes of Hazzard- Daisy's the only woman on the 'main' cast of characters... and as for the men, there are Bo, Luke, Uncle Jessie, Boss, Roscoe, Enos, and Cooter
That 70's Show- 3 main women- Jackie, Donna, Kitty 5 main men Fez, Kelso, Hyde, Eric, Red

Bewitched seemed to have more focus of women than men, but not super lopsided-it say 60-40 -maybe because key characters were women-Sam, Endora, Aunt Clara, Gladys Kravitz
also...
The Golden Girls

Designing Women - Anthony was the only male in the main cast.

I Dream of Jeannie - Only Jeannie and Amanda Bellows were the main females.

WKRP in Cincinnati - Jennifer and Bailey were the only females in the cast.

Taxi - Just Elaine and later Simka, among the males.

Charlie's Angels - Only Bosley was among the females.

I can think of one where the men out number the women:

Green Acres - Oliver, Eb, Mr. Haney, Mr. Drucker, Mr Kimball, Mr. Ziffel, Ralph Monroe, Joe Carson, the Cannonball fellows. The only women who were shown pretty regularly were Lisa, Alf Monroe and Mrs. Ziffel.

M*A*S*H, while there were quite a few nurses on the show, only Hot Lips truly qualified as a "main" character among the women

"The Cosby show" was outnumbered by females, because the Huxtable family (and Bill Cosby's own family) had four daughters, but only one son.

Adam-12: The only woman on the show was the dispatcher, and you saw her in person only once or twice. It was all men. Same with Emergency and Dragnet.

Route 66 had no women.

Hogan's Heroes also had no women as main characters. A couple women who popped in and out, but not on a regular basis.

Incredible Hulk had no women.

On Wings, the men outnumbered the women 5 to 2 (when Lowell and Antonio were there).

The men outnumbered the women on Lois and Clark. Lois was the only main lady in seasons 2-4; Cat was the only other girl in season 1.

Courtship of Eddie's Father had 2 men, 2 women, and a little boy. So about even. lol

The men outnumber the women on Cold Case 4 to 2. CSI:NY is men 6, women 2.

Barney Miller - no female character ever lasted very long. Even the suspects were mostly male.

Hawaii Five-O - Up until the 12th and final season, there was never any regular female main cast member.

Get Smart - Only Barbara Feldman was the regular female cast member. Everyone else was males. Ironically, Barbara Feldman would be the only remianing main cast member on that show.

Night Court - Any season you watched, any cast you saw, there was always more males than females.

The Cosby Show - During the pre-1989 eps., most of the time there was more females than males in the main cast.

Cheers - Even after Shelley Long left the cast and got replaced by Kirstie Alley and even after Bebe Neuwirth joined the cast, there was always more regular males in the cast than females.
