Default Crushed ice or cubed ice in your drinks...

Do you have a preference when it comes to ice in your drinks? I never thought there was much of a difference but one time I realized that crushed ice works better for me. It keeps my drink colder without watering it down, much like cubed ice does. Also, if I let my soda sit for a while, it will still have lots of ice in it as opposed to the cubed ice which seems to melt faster.

We have a store here with a soda/lemonade dispensing machine where you can have the option of either cubed or crushed ice.

Either way, it doesn't matter - EASY ON THE DAMN ICE. I like ice, yes, but not when the server brings me a cup that is 3/4 ice and 1/4 soda. pissed:

I really don't have a preference. As long as there's not so much freaking ice in my drink, with the exception of water. The more ice in my water, the better.

Only crushed ice for me! Your right *Irene* it keeps the drink from getting watered down (especially sodas). And for some reason *for me* cubed ice makes drinking more difficult.. it blocks the drink when your trying to sip lol.

I prefer cubes but, maybe its cause whenever you buy anything with crushed ice, they seem to give you 90% ice, 10% drink

I know what you mean. If there is a straw available, great. If not, a big chunk of ice hitting your teeth.

Even here at home, I will crush my cubed ice.

I'm not a fan of ice at all. If the beverage is cold, I don't even want ice. I never use it at home, and in restaurants, I always tell them light on the ice. It doesn't matter what kind of ice to me.

When I am at home, I use the cubes, but when I am out, I prefer it crushed. Most public places have it crushed anyways.
