Default I LOVE LACEY...episode chat

Seen this last night at 11:30 p.m. I fell asleep in the middle of this episode and woke up in time to see the ending. I did see Wanda and Emma shopping in the dollar store. I also heard abt the Grey Cup, but what was that all abt?

When Davis referred to the glove compartment as the place you put YOUR GLOVES, I was And it got me to thinking, why is it called the glove compartment? Tell me it has to do with the olden days and the folks needing to put their driving gloves somewhere. I like the quick flash to the glove compartment and we seen Davis' badge laying in there after he told the undercover cop that he too was a cop. She asked for his badge and we seen where exactly it was.

The Grey cup is the equivalent to the Super Bowl in Canadian football....the Grey Cup was named for a former Govenor General of Canada, Lord Earl Grey.
The Grey Cup is the second oldest trophy in Canadian Sport after the Stanley Cup (1893), having been donated in 1909.

i would indeed expect that that is exactly how it got the name "glove compartment"...if you looked closely, not only was Davis' badge in the GC but, underneath it were his and Karens Grey Cup tickets, and a pair of gloves!

Its too bad you fell asleep Irene, that was the final show of season one, and it was also the Brent-Lacey romance cliffhanger that is resolved in ep #1 of season 2..........however, the show was also written in such a way to be a conclusion , had the show not been renewed for a second season.....a pretty neat trick for a cliffhanger! (Which is why the final scene has Brent in a freeze framed sillouette with only the "Gorner Gas" sign visible!)

I did see the ending, but I know I missed maybe 5-10 mins. of the episode. I laughed at how Brent WHO OWNS A GAS STATION ran out of gas.
Lacey kept wanting to call for help but he was embarrassed because of that fact.

Seeing how Brent said three times his affection towards Lacey. I can't remember the words but I did like how Lacey told him, "You said that three times already."

What Brent said was that he'd love to "put the moves on you" after Lacey said that if they were in High School, Brent would have put the moves on her by then...because thats what boys did back then, when they ran out of gas.
My fave line is Brent trying to give his reasons why he felt attracted to her and says: "Youre smart, youre pretty, we have lots of fun together.... as far as I know, we're not related in any way...."
Oh and another part I love is when Lacey calls back the towing company to cancel the tow truck (That she called for secretly ) after Brent finds some gas on a farm, and to hide the fact from Brent pretends to be calling her Mom..... and ends the call by telling the tow truck driver in a singsong voice: "I love you!" ...the tow truck driver looks at his assistant and totally puzzled says: "She said she LOVES me???!!!!"

Oh yeah, that was so damn funny. I was getting pretty tired and so watching it, it didn't last in my memory very well. But now that you posted all that, it comes back to me.

I still didn't see the episode, even though it aired early.

I had Christmas gifts to wrap.
