I don"t know if this was previouly discussed, But in this episode, JJ mentions O'Jays concert tickets. Since they were supposedly so poor, how can he afford them?

I was wondering about that too. I do know that concert tickets back then weren't as expensive as they are now but i'm pretty sure those set J.J back a few bucks since they were struggling.
