Default Crash diet time!

Anybody have any [safe!!] tips for losing 15 lbs in a couple of weeks? I was away on vacation and I packed on a couple of extra pounds eating out every night…..and now I have my sisters wedding coming up, and I have to squeeze into my bridesmaid dress! Ahh! I’m willing to try almost anything! Help!

Dietary experts will tell you that a crash diet is not a safe way to go to lose weight, and will not keep the weight off in the long run. In fact, you will not lose weight, your body will launch into "survival mode" and try to store what it can on you. If you want to lose a certain amount of wait in a certain period of time, just eat a balanced diet moderately. In fact, experts will tell you that light snacking often throughout the day (with proper foods, vegetables, a few crackers, etc) , about up to six times even works, because your body will not feel it is hungry all the time. Keeping active, exercising or even walking, and drinking lots of water will also help. Don't starve yourself, or you could pass out. Don't make dieting or food adjustments into a punishment ritual! You wouldn't look good in a bridesmaid's dress if you became pale and sickly!

I agree ^^^^^^^. If you have to fit into a bridesmaid dress, consider buying a girdle or wear a bustier to help you fit into the dress. Maybe the dressmaker can adjust it accordingly for you. Women gain/lose weight all the time right before a wedding and dressmakers are professionals and know how to deal with those sort of things.

Please don't do a crash diet. As someone who has struggled with both anorexia and depression...let's just say it's not worth it. As Irene said, see if you can have the dress altered instead. Please take care of yourself!!

thanks for all the tips, guys! I did some searching on google and I found a cool website (www.findyourdetour.com) that had some interesting articles about different types of exercise and healthy ways of living that I've been reading about and I'm really interested in. I used to be a swimmer in college and I found some articles that I really loved, and there was also a lot of stuff about just maintaining a healthy lifestyle. No more crash diets for me!
