MRIGGLES THOUGHTS ON THE EAGLES LIONS GAME

Let me first say that those uniforms must go & they have some kind of nerve charging the prices they were for a jersey that no one in their right mind (not even me in my enraged game day outfits) would wear that garbage in public.

Now that I said that on to the game. I am a firm believer For the most part in the NFL that especially in the early part of the season your not as bad as you look & your not as good either. A minor exception to the rule is the pats of course, they are as close to unbeatable as there is right now.

My point is that I knew deep down in my heart that my boys were not as bad as they looked weeks 1 & 2. I also know that they aren't as good as they looked today.

With that said, I am so beyond impressed with the focus the birds had today. I called into Howard Eskins show on WIP last week ranting & raving about how unfocused they were, how unprepared they were the 1st 2 weeks, how you have to lay the blame on andy reid. That was not the case at all yesterday. First play of the game, Broderick bunkley (who by the way is really really developing into a good player) sacks Kitna....first drive 3 & out, then the offense takes the field to an array of boos (none from my voice box i might add) & they shut up the animals in the crowd with an impressive quick wham bam thank you mam drive.

The offense was on a roll all day, In the 4th quarter of the redskins game last monday you could see signs that they were beginning to get it together, andy reid said after the game that he felt the offense was off by a hair, I flipped out listening to him say that after what I saw, turns out he was right. I know the lions aren't the best defense in the world, but they are very formidable especially in the front 7 & DMAC & the boys took them to school @ the linc. Brian westbrook...I can't say enough good things about him, he is one of the best players in the NFL PERIOD!!!!!!!!!


The defense with the exception of one play by that goof william James (ex giant) did a nice job on Roy williams who is a very very good player & calvin Johnson who already is a good player, that catch he made yesterday down by my endzone, you can't help but applaud it.

The eagles got it together & the offense caught up with the defense yesterday, I like the defense alot this year. Half our starting secondary was out yesterday & they didn't skip a beat.


What does all this mean?? It means they are 1-2 with a trip 100 miles up the turnpike to that rat infested eye sore known as vagiants stadium. Next Sunday its the eagles & the vagiants. A loss next week & nobody will remember what was truly an amazing performance yesterday at lincoln financial field even if it was " only the lions". Now if you will excuse me it is officialy GIANTS WEEK FOR ME, Let the preparation begin, I have some cockaroaches i need to gameplan on how to squash.

That wasn't a win yesterday, that was a CIRCUS-lol Like someone said on WIP today, if they were taht good they would have beaten GB and WAS so everyone needs to come down. Everyone I went this morning all I heard was EAGLES WON. This is a GOOFY city

Like i said in my thoughts I know what happened yesterday. Im not getting to giddy just yet
