Well, this is California and I believe if you win over $500 you must pay taxes on that. I am not sure of the amount though.

But, in Vegas, when you win at the slots or any casino game, if it is over a certain amount (forgot the amount) before they hand you the cash, you sign a document that goes to Uncle Sam so he knows where to find you to get his share. Sorry.

Ok well thanks for clearing that up because I didn't know what the hell Jack was talking about since chrissy already had cash in her hands that HE brought home from the track

There's no way they can take taxes (at least federal) out your winnings right there huh????

I guess it would be nice to just pay Uncle Sam right then and there, but there is paperwork and Uncle Sam will come calling when you least expect it...after you spend all them winnings.

I thought they just left it as one big sum and then whoever wanted to take some money could? It's been awhile since I saw that episode so I could be wrong.

When Chrissy said let' split ity 50/50/50, I just assumed she meant dividing the 1627 three ways. Even if that was the case, I would consider thast stupid-lol Espcially since Janet helped her get the money for the bet. So Janet should have defintely been getting more than Jack

They probably should have just put the money in the bank and saved it so they could get something real nice. They were spending it on stupid things. lol
