I seen this fiasco on the news this morning. It's called "resisting arrest". You do that, you get arrested. For a college student, he sure was stupid.

Eh, I'm pretty sure this kid was trying to draw as much attention to himself as he possibly could. I wish they didn't tase him, because that's exactly what he wanted.

It does seem pretty weak that 4 cops couldn't get him out of the room without using the taser. And this was even after they cuffed him, I think.

The cops were trying to get him out of the room, not to arrest him, nothing else. But the guy made it a big issue and used it to his advantage, that is when the cops were trying to cuff him but he was resisting arrest and remember, this was going on in a room with many other people there, in an auditorium-like setting, it wasn't like the cops had much room to try and combat this stupid jerk.

They didn't get a proper taze in or he would have been incapacited. I think because there were other people holding on they decided not to continue as the tazer will go through multiple bodies.

IMO the police used considerable restraint because of the nature of the event and who was watching. In a different circumstance he would have been taken out alot more quickly

Actually police do have lives. Infact they risk them daily. The only stupid one was the college student.

This kid has his own website devoted to little "pranks" and stunts he pulls in public because he thinks he's some sort of a comedian, so i guess he though it would be a hoot to ask a former Peesidential candidate a bunch of rude questions at a public meeting.

I guess he was wrong.

Oh and friendcarr, my father was a highly regarded and decorated police officer for 27 years.

Think before you post.

I saw that on the news, he looked like he wanted to make a scene and get attention. But thats just my take on it.

No the Police removed a complete Jackass from causing a scene in public. They were handcuffed by having to be very PC and not overly agressive considering the public nature of the event.

This guy should have been taken in the back and dummied, especially considering he has a history of making scenes in public and obviously desperately needs the attention.

I really don't get all you cop haters out there, is there bad and corrupt officers for sure but you find that in any industry. For the most part these guys do a thankless job and get $#!+ on by the general public becuase the only time they want to see a cop is when they need one and even then the cop didn't get there fast enough.

Doubt you'd say that if you needed them. They put their lives on the line every day of their lives.
