Another example of Lucy's selfishness was aboard ship in "Second Honeymoon." Ricky told Lucy and the Mertzes they could go to Europe because he and the band would be working on the ship. Then when they were underway, Lucy complained about Ricky ruining their second honeymoon because he had to work. She was the one who tried to turn the trip into a second honeymoon while Ricky had other obligations.

What was he supposed to do? Lucy wouldn't even have been able to go if it wasn't for that arrangement. She always tried to make things go her way without thinking how it would impact others. Whenever she got something, she always wanted something more. She even had the nerve to cut the ship's phone line in her room. Then the ship's crew had to use a cutting torch to remove the porthole she got stuck in.

With the cost of the damages, I would think she was no longer a free fare.

The show that bugs me where she needs to give him a break is the one where she tries to get him to lose the bet so she can get the new hat. The stuff she does to him is so mean.

I am sure we can make a lot of posts regarding Lucy doing things such as what Lodee and Stacy above have stated.

I too agree that Lucy was forgetting what Ricky was contracted to do on the cruise ship. I mean, he did tell her WAAAY before the trip that he would be busy and wouldn't have time for her, he would have many one night stands, etc. (Yeah, Ricky that is why you had so much time to sightsee and do all those things I posted on that other thread.)

But at least on the cruise ship, he was in fact really busy and part of his contractual duties was playing throughout the day and night. Lucy deciding to make it a second honeymoon was her fault and should not have blamed Ricky. And you are right, I can imagine the cost of getting herself out of that hole.

I think episodes like that are hilarious ricky always looks as if hes going to explode.

Those are really funny episodes. But in the real world Ricky would have probably divorced her after a few of those stunts. lol!
