Boring Storytellers
How many sitcom characters were known for their boring (and old) stories? Here are a few:
Inspector Luger (Barney Miller) Ted Baxter (Mary Tyler Moore) Gov. Gatling (Benson) Rose Nylund (Golden Girls) In other words, if you hear the phrases "me and Foster, Kleiner and Brown", "St. Olaf", and/or "it all started in a 5000 radio station in Fresno" - LOOK OUT!!

Can Grandpa Huxtable be counted? I mean good lord, that man told THE most snooze fest stories that put me to sleep. His stories was so not enjoyable.
I much prefer Rose Nyland's stories over his, at least hers was some what exciting! |

I forgot about Rolly Forbes (Amen). He would drone on and on, only pausing to take off his glasses and wipe them - sometimes several times during a single sentence!!

Phyllis Lindstrom (MTM) usually told pretty boring tales herself - not unlike Ted Baxter. The two of them were so dense and full of themselves!
![]() Then there's Les Nessman (WKRP)...enough said.

No contest - Frank Pickle from the Vicar of Dibley. There was even a tabloid spread on him entitled "Is this the most boring man on earth?"

Chrissy Snow gets my vote. She was the only one who got the ponit of them!!!
I have not watched All in the Family in a while but I remember watching the ep which Edith talks about this dude and he had to be driven to the hospital in this ambulance and the paramedics forgot to shut the doors!!! I sometimes think about that when I have a ****ty day and need a laugh. |
