Default The Many Talents of Charles

For a man with only a high-school education, Charles certainly was exceptional.

Drug/Alcohol rehab counsellor: helped Albert get off morphine, helped John Stewart get off booze

Guidance counsellor: turned Peter Lundstrom's life around

Anger management counsellor: turned Todd Dortmunder's life around

Family counsellor: saved the Harper family from divorce and alcoholism

Brain trauma expert: helped James snap out of his coma

Orthopedic specialist: designed orthotics for Olga

Veterinarian: helped pull Fagin through his illness

Preacher: Reverend Alden's right-hand man

Classical musician: lived too far from the Chicago Symphony, so he had to settle on just fiddling around

Let's not forget his talents at:

Being a cobbler (old fashioned name for shoe repairman), he fixed the girls' shoes, addes new soles to them, fixed them any way he could when they couldn't afford a new pair. Also, he fixed that special orthopedic shoe for the the girl who had one leg shorter than the other (played by Kim Richards).

Wagon fixer: How many times did he fix wagon wheels for people? He got two old wagon wheels, fixed them and painted them for Nels Olsen. Also, when Doc Baker broke down, along came Charles who happened to fix his wheel for him. Wow!

DIY (Do It Yourself) man: He made the home the Ingalls lived in for years.

That would have been nice. He should have just taken a look at the Olsen's home and see how theirs was.

Doctor: Charles aided Doc Baker at least two times when it came to some illness that creeped into town. Charles also pretended to be a doctor when those men invaded the blind school. He even treated that guy with the gunshot wound.

Didn't Charles also play a doctor when the James' brothers came into town?

Too bad he couldn't add on to the house with 872 people living in it! Did he and Mike Brady share architecture secrets?

Oh damn girlfriend, you came up with a good one! That reminds me, Charles also fixed that broken down used wheelchair for Nellie when she faked being paralyzed. Did you see Mrs. Olsen's face when Nellie first used it? She looked so disgusted at the sight.

I think he got the plans mixed up when he built his buildings. The barn turned out bigger than the house!
