I was surfing around the web and found this on JackSoo.com:

"Battling cancer and being wheeled into surgery, Jack Soo's last words to Barney Miller star Hal Linden were, "It must have been the coffee" in reference to the horrible swill created by his character, Nick Yemana. And so was life and character of Jack Soo - witty, dry humor to the end."

Wow...that's all I can say.

Awww...To this day, Jack Soo (and his character, Nick Yemana) is missed. What a classy and funny guy. God bless him!

Either he was funny to the end, or Hal Linden is a very creative liar......awww lets just go with the first option ^_^

Yes. Jack and his alter ego Nick were AWESOME! I wonder how the show would have been had Jack lived all 8 seasons.
