Default Tate Donovan Slams Former 'O.C.' Co-Stars

Tate Donovan has blasted the young stars of former soap The O.C., insisting they were "incredibly difficult" to work with. The star, who played Jimmy Cooper on the once cult drama series, has laid the blame for many on-set problems at the feet of the show's stars Mischa Barton, Benjamin McKenzie, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody.

He says, "They were really tough. Directors were leaving the set and saying, `I'm never going to work with (them again).' I think they all wanted movie careers and did not want to be on a television show. All four of them were, like, `This show is ruining my career.'"

Wow. Didn't this guy date Jennifer Aniston before she hooked up with Brad?

Yes.

That's horrible for him to say about his former co-stars. And notice he makes this statement after the show is over. If the show was still in production he would have kept his trap shut. As "difficult" as the younger stars were, It's funny how he always went back for more and more episodes (when he was no longer a series regular). I think he even directed a few of the later episodes.

Even if what he's saying is true, it's bad form to badmouth your former co-workers. Who knows if he really said it. I learned long ago to not believe everything you read. Stuff is made up or quoted out of context.

He was engaged to Sandra Bullock, and involved with a few other actresses. I remember Sandra took their breakup hard. I just saw them in the movie they met on while making, Love Potion #9. I think he's a good actor. I watched him in Damages on FX recently.

I hope this isn't true. It would be VERY unprofessional of him to talk that way about the kids.

I think someone just felt to start something up. I mean, if you didn't like certain people, would you really keep coming back to work with them (acting and even directing alongside them)? He could have obviously found another project to be a part of.

He was also on an episode of Friends. I don't know if he and Jennifer were already dating, or if that's how they met.
