Default Rare Honeymooners Opening on YouTube:

This opening as far as I know is NOT the one that is one the Classic 39 Box Set made by Paramount.

Well, according to somebody who commented on the video...
Quote:
General Motors' Buick division sponsored the filmed edition of "THE HONEYMOONERS" in the 1955-'56 season. This is the "standard" opening used in the first half of that season- the second half used the title we see today, with Lescolie announcing and the Buick "steering wheel" logo and car appearing at the end of the title.
Apparently Paramount decided to include the opening from the second half of the season, but not the one from the first half.

I'm pretty sure it is on the special features on the Classic 39 box set.

What a great clip! It's so cool to see rare footage like that.

Besides the Buick car seen in that opening, it was right next to a General Motors "Old Look" (probably TDH-5101) bus. So for GM, it was a win-win deal, this opening.

wow I guess I am the sentimental one on this board.. The intro is great.. a wonderful piece of history.. but I wouldn't trade the moon intro for all the intros in the world!
