Sad It's been 11 years since Tupac Shakur died

11 years already. Tupac was a great guy. He was a poet when Tupac died you could see the demise of rap/hip-hop. I'll say this again its very sad that he's misunderstood. R.I.P. TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR

I miss 2Pac too. He would still be alive if he wasn't ignorant. He should've never signed with Death Row records because Suge Knight is a criminal and a ignorant ghetto dude. 2Pac should've never been dissing a lot of rappers too. Most rappers don't use their brain and that's why the ones that died young are dead. Eazy E is a good example of a person who should've used his brain instead of thinking with his d*ck when it comes to women. He should've known to use condoms when having sex with a bunch of women and he didn't do that. That's why he died of aids. 2Pac and The Notorious Big's deaths are so stupid because both of them died over nothing. 2Pac was beefing with Biggie because he felt that Biggie had him robbed and shot in New York in 1995 when he was going to the studio. Biggie said he had nothing to do with that. That's how the 2Pac and Biggie beef started. 2Pac also blamed Puff Daddy for getting shot that same night. Bottom line is that 2Pac was a good rapper but he was very ignorant most of the time and that's a shame because his music is sadly missed by his fans.

Why do you ruin a tribute thread this way? That is so wrong. And so ignorant.

Tupac, whatever choices he made in life, doesn't give someone the right to kill him. He was not out trying to kill someone, he was not hurting anyone that evening, he was minding his own business. If someone had a grudge against the guy, handle it man to man. Doing it with a gun is so gutless and cowardly.

When we went to Vegas last year, I couldn't help but think of Tupac as we went to where the shooting took place. It is so busy with people, crowds are on the streets, how could NO ONE have any information to give to the police?

Well I agree with the fact that they both died for no reason. But pac was just being honest you can't really call him ignorant for that. Pac had a ligitimate reason for beefin with biggie. I don't think Biggie did it. Biggie has stated on several accounts that he was never really mad a Pac. Big never really made a diss song against pac.
Anyways I think one of the reasons pac died was he really did not have anyone to tell him to you know calm down. He really had no one to point him in the right direction.

I guess the main reason that no one will give info is you know they are afraid that they'll be next.

So I guess you also believe that it was Aaliyah's fault that she's dead, if she hadn't stepped on the plane. Or maybe Left Eye, if she hadn't gotten behind the wheel or maybe Natalie Wood, instead of boozing up and stepping on the boat she should have been at home.

^Sound silly huh?

Aaliyah and Left Eye's deaths weren't like 2Pac's death. Neither one of them were shot. I know that people can die in a airplane crash and a car crash which is how Aaliyah and Left Eye died. Ireneparalegal how can you say 2Pac wasn't ignorant? I know that people don't have the right to kill somebody when they're bothering nobody but you have to remember that 2Pac had just beat up a gangbanger the same night that he was killed. When a person messes with a gangbanger, you better expect that there's gonna be retaliation and i believe whoever killed 2Pac was probably some gang members who were getting back at him for beating up a gangbanger. As a matter of fact, 2Pac wasn't the only one that night who was beating up the gangbanger. 2Pac's entourage was also beating up the gangbanger because i saw footage of it on a 2Pac documentary i saw. The beating took place in a Las Vegas hotel lobby which i think was uncalled for but like i said, 2Pac was very ignorant and if you disagree with me, then your blind to the fact that he wasn't ignorant. He obviously wasn't smart because he signed with Death Row records which was owned by that fat ignorant f*ck Suge Knight who's a bully. I'm sure if 2Pac wanted to leave Death Row, Suge would've probably had 2Pac beat up by his flunkies because Suge is a bully and he's a criminal who used to be a gangbanger. Why would any rapper sign with a record company that's owned by a former gangbanger and criminal? That's not smart at all and 2Pac wasn't smart. If he was smart, he would've never signed with the label. You see Dr Dre was the first one to leave Death Row because he knew Suge was ignorant and he was cheating the artists outta their money.

I read a book about Death Row records so i know what i'm talking about. Dr Dre said he got tired of gangbangers coming to the studio while he was trying to record music. Dr Dre said there was always gangbangers intimidating the employees and bullying them. Then he said there was rappers hanging around the studio who weren't even signed with the label and Dre said he got tired of the ignorance that was going on everyday at the record company. So that's why he smartened up and left the label. Then when 2Pac gets signed to the label, he starts dissing Dr Dre because Dre left the label and i'm sure Suge probably told 2Pac to diss him because Suge likes to start sh*t. 2Pac started dissing rappers when he got with Death Row and he wasn't like that before he got with Death Row. 2Pac became very ignorant when he got with Death Row and i didn't like it that he changed and became ignorant because before he got with Death Row, he made songs that had messages in them like Brenda's Got A Baby, Trapped, Words Of Wisdom, Keep Ya Head Up, Papa's Song, Part Time Mutha, Dear Mama. If you listen to his first 2 albums 2Pacalypse Now and Strictly 4 My Nig*as, you will see what i'm talking about how different his music was before he got with Death Row. He had no reason to beef with The Notorious Big. His beef with him was ignorant and stupid and both of them are dead because of the stupid beef. I wonder what 2Pac's music would've been like if he was still alive and i wonder if he would've left Death Row records. I heard rumors that he wanted to leave Death Row before he died. It would've been interesting to see that happen.

2Pac SHOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED THAT NIGHT for that fight. If he had been, he may still be alive today. I agree with you that 2Pac probably brought that killing onto himself by fighting with gangbangers. I am merely saying IN GENERAL, NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO KILL SOMEONE...ONLY IN SELF-DEFENSE. And especially for the fact that 2Pac was involved in a fight, if those morons had done the legal thing, they should have had him arrested, not go out and kill him, IF IN FACT, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO KILLED HIM.

Exactly well said! Tupac has had problems with some cops in the past. I think he sued an Oakland cop once for police brutality. Perhaps maybe I'm very sad to say some cops were actually pleased with Pac's death But still I'll say this once again Tupac never really had that influence to tell him you know slow do you are taking things too quick. You know no one was there to tell him to calm down. Pac himself was too busy telling that to people. But back to the cops. You know at that time Vegas was a bad out of control place. I think a lot of cops back in the day in Vegas were deeply corrupt.

Tupac has had problems with the cops and the law in the past, before his death. But I also think some things weren't that bad or weren't true. 2 of them to be specific was the rap case. I've heard around 5 perspectives on the case, from reading online, about what had happened, at least in different people's minds. The bodyguard Frank Alexander spoke briefly and only once on the subject to my knowledge. I read that he said Pac was involved with the girl, they took a liking to each other, but maybe weren't that romantically involved yet. He said that Pac saw a couple of guys harrassing her and she added his name to the list of guys, and their was no clarification in anybody's story that it was harrassing or rape, neither is good, I'm just saying. Also, the beating up the cop for harrassing a black man I thought was stupid to note in his records. Everybody is equal when it comes to the law. If I sexually harrass somebody per say (hypothetically) and a cop does it later on, that doesn't mean the cop gets away with it just because he has a high authority when it comes to justice. I think people took that wrong and looked at it as a horrible act of anger & disobeying, and everything else it could of been portrayed as, but I don't see it that way in my mind. I think Tupac was killed by Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson, the one who was stomped out of the hotel & the one who denied killing Tupac in an interview months after Shakur's death. Anderson died a year later anyway.

Some of your "facts" here are right, and some are wrong. First off, the beef with Biggy? Are you serious? Tupac introduced Biggy to rap. Pac was a rodeo with Digital Underground and a backup dancer as well for them. Pac got signed to a label to start his solo career, which began with "I Get Around" and Brenda's Got A Baby. In the beginning of his career, Pac let Biggy go on tour with him and get to experience everything to do with being on the road and touring for a music career. It was Suge who at the Source Awards in 94 I believe, said if you wanna come to death row, we don't put CEOs in our videos, taking shots at Bad Boy Records, Pac had nothing to do with that Suge claim & is irrelevant, I'm just saying. 2pac was cool with Big, when Big started rapping mainstream & getting his first album together. Big & Diddy both set up Pac in the first shooting incident, everybody knows that. In my mind, Biggy was a fat, sneaky clown who wanted Pac killed so that he could be number 1. I like Biggy's music but I can't connect with his arrogant and self centered personality. Anyways, Pac did get a lil bit more fiesty under Death Row, but look at how much money he made. He wasn't even a snitch, a sneak or a murderer to make money.
