(season 9 after beginning of the beginning)

Jo came runningout of the comvienence store mumbling to herself.

Jo: Total idiot! Man cant even check out groceries... IDIOT!

Carly: JO!?!?

Jo: Oh my! Hahaha! Oh its been like so long!

Carly: I know! You seem a little stressed!

Jo: The guy at the checkout counter was an...

Carly: Yeah yeah... idiot.

Jo: Right... (looks at watch) Geez... Bevs gonna kill me.... i left like 5 hours ago!

Carly: Whos... Bev?

Jo: Beverly anne... One of the many clinically insane people i live with! But not for long! Im married!!!!

Carly: Congrats girl... Why wasnt i invited? Im sorry, just playin witch ya! How many people live in that house?\

Jo: Uhh... 7... i think.

Carly: Here take this... itle calm you down.(holds up a joint)

Jo: Oh come on... I swore of that stuff when mommy dearest sent me off to girls town!

Carly: You only live once!

Jo: Uh i..... Fine(takes it and lights it up)

Carly: See, better all ready.

Bev: Where in the world is Jo???

Nat: I was thinking the same thing... But in my word it would come out... Where in the hell is JO!!??!!??

Blair: Ehhh, shell be here... trust me im late to everything.. but i always make it... shell be here.

Toot: Ok, whatever... im just hungry ok!

Jo comes in.

Jo: Hey sorry guys! Nice night thought id take a walk!

Blair: You hate walking.

Jo; Well... now i like it!!! Here you go! ( gives bag to bev and goes upstairs)

Bev: Did you notice that?

Toot: What?

Bev: Jo, the way she...

Blair: Was acting... al happy and stuff.

Bev: Blair! The way she smelled.

Toot: I didnt notice.

Bev: Well... I may be wrong... but i thought i smelled, pot.

Blair: No she wouldnt, she... did she?

Nat: We cant say Ne thing what if were wrong... shell hate us!

Bev: Fine.. i dot even know... Just forget it. Ok?, im sure it was nottin.

Toot: You right, nothing.

Jo was sitting on the couch... After a very loud argument with blair... She really wanted another joint. But she knew how bad it felt to try and stop. But she was so upset. But it would only last a little while. And against her better judgement, she tok a joint, which she got from Carly and lit it up... And of course, Blair in an attemt to apologise, walked in and Jo didnt notice.

Blair: J...Jo?

Jo: BLAIR!!!! ( she looked at the joint and then back at blair)

Blair: What is that?

Jo: *thinking... What can i say she saw it already* Ummm... Its a joint.

Blair: Oh Jo! Why, how, why???

Jo: I (stands upand runs into kitchen, she started crying, sat down and put her head on the table)

Blair: (following her) Jo? Talk to me here.

Jo: (brings it up to her lips and smokes it) What is there to say blair? (still crying) Huh? I mean what is it you want me to say> Tell me! Tell me now???

Blair: Well i want an answer... And by the way... next time you came home try not to smell like pot!

Jo: Get lost (walks out back door)

Bev: Where is Jo THIS time?

Blair: I dont know.

Toot: Whats wrong blair.

Blair: NOTHINGS WRONG... DOES IT LOOK LIKE SOMETHINGS WRONG!?!?!

Nat: Somethings wrong!

Blair: Do you really want to know?

Bev: yes blair!

Blair: You were right Jo's on drugs.

Toot: Our jo? But... No, this cant be... shes smarter than that!

Blair: Its true... I was right here when she smoked it!

Nat: I... I dont know what to say.

ANd like in all tv shows, jo comes in right about... NOW!

Jo: Realizez everybodys stareing.) So i geusse she told you... I knew it... And dont give me the its bad for you speech... I dont care anymore (crys) I really dont(goes upstairs)

Blair(sighs) Whatdo we do now?

Rick: Hiya!!!!!

Blair sighs) Now is not the time.

Rick: Oh come on it cant be that bad!

Blair lifts her head up, but doesnt look him in the eye) You wifes on drugs.

Rick: What?

Blair: you heard me.

Rick: I dont understand this. What is it? Why did she...

Blair: We cant get it out of her

Rick: Where is she?

Blair: Upstairs.

Rick: Im going to go talk to her.

Bev: You cant go in there thats a girls room, edna will kill me!

Rick: If Jo overdosses and dies will edns kill you... Now let me go!(runs up)

Nat: Dies? Bev she wont...

Bev: there will always be the possibility she will, overdose... I dont want to worry you... its just possible.

Toot: Dear G-d! That made sense!

Nat: Wow... oh wait this time its not a good thing.

Jo was lying on her bed, not faceing the door, crying. All she could think was that everybody hated her. Nobody would understand exactly what she was going through. She didnt notice rick until he sat on her bed.

Jo: *gasps* You scared me.(doesnt look at him and just rolls back over so she doesnt have to face him)

Rick: Hi.

Jo: Did you talk to Blair? Or Ne one else for that matter?

Rick: Yes....Yes i did.

Jo: Do you hate me too?

Rick: They dont hate you. Just a little dissapointed

Jo: And you are too right?

Rick: Whats wrong? Why are you doing this?

Jo: Twice, i smoked pot twice.

Rick: Thats still not a good thing!

Jo:And what do you want to do about it?

Rick: Please Jo, dont ever do it again. Please?

Jo: I promise. Can i just be alone now?

Rick: Sure..(leaves)

Jo pulls another joint, the last one out of her pocket. She looked at it, and put it back. She figited around a bit. And took it out again, looked over her shoulder and went into the bathroom.

Jo:*to herself* Its the last one... last one ill ever take.*lights it up.

(bout 40 seconds later the grop comes looking)

Nat: What the hell is that smell????

Blair: Uhg... pot.

Toot: Oh no nononononono!

Bev: Where is she... JO?!?!

Jo: *from bathroom* Yeah???

Bev: Jo get out here!

Jo: *Has no idea where to put the joint* Ehhh, just a minute.

Bev: *Puses the door in* Good Jo... Just go behind our backs!

Jo: No wait please...

Bev: I dont want to hear it! (leaves, Jo starts to follow but stopps, and turns around to all her friends, they just stared at her)

Jo: Im sorry. I am.

Toot: Well sorry isnt good enough.

Jo: Tootie please!

Nat: Toot lay off, jo what is going on here?!?!

Jo: Nothing! (looks at joint in her hand) Ehh, oh that(smokes it and tries to explain) I...

Blair: our just smoking it in front of us?!

Jo: And why not!? You all know already!

Everybody but Jo leaves. Jo started crying again...

Jo: They all hate me... Rick.. whever he is... tootie blair nat, bev... Al i have is myself and carly.... She understands, nobody else ever will. They dont even care.

Jo finished it... ow she really didnt care... Abut the guys, rick, or anything for that matter, se heard them coming up the stairs and pretended to be asleep, just for fun to hear what theyll say.

Blair and the gang walk in, Blair notices Jo is asleep, and decides its safe to whisper.

Blair: Bev has like gone insane.

Nat: Shes so angry...

Toot: Well she has every right to be.

Blair: I know but... Its just not going to help the situation.

Toot: There is no 'situation' Jo broght this... and anything else that happens because of this on herself. Dont expect me to follow her around and pick up the pieces!

Nat: Have a heart... Shes haveing a rough time.

Toot: Great new job... huge house... Just married... Real tough.

Blair: Well think what you want but we ahve to do something! Shes hurting herself...

Toot: Im sorry... This is just so not like her.

Nat: Weve known her since she was 16... we all know she was a bad girl before that.

Toot: I know... I just. I dont know... can we forget this conversation ever happened.

Nat: Sure, oh did i tell you jo's parents will be here, tommorow... Juding by the phone call they were Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!

*jo flashback*

Jo and the REAL gang are standing on a street corner, when jo was 15. Jo was holding a joint in one hand, a beer in the other, she really didnt have a chance to drink much. It was very late... And jos mom was looking for her.

Rose: Jo!?!?

Jo: M...Mom, i uh. She frantically searched for an excuse.

Rose: What are you doing??? Her mother grabbed the joint and threw it on the ground.

Jo: Mom no wait! (her momgrabbed the beer away from her and threw the bottle up against a wall) MOM!!!! What the hell are you doing???

Rose slapped jo. Jo was really embarresed, in front of her frinds. She couldnt beleive it. She was practically in shock... Her mom had never done that before. It gave her a second to think. What was she doing, Pot AND beer. But she couldnt just say no, she was part of the gang. It was her obligation. Rose grabbed her by the arm.

Rose: Get in the car were going home.

Jo: No im not.

Rose: Yes you are (puses jo into the car)

Jo faded back into reality, she had missed half of thier conversation.

Nat: Night blair.

Blair: Night.

Nat and tootie left.

Jo: Blair?

Blair: You heard us huh?

Jo: Most if it, i was lost in thought.

Blair: (sat on jos bed) Do you want to talk?

Jo: Maybe...

Blair: Explain ths al to me... Your life is great why?

Jo: You wont understand, but ill talk, i mean why not, my parents are comeing and all, ill have to explainn sooner or later...
