Most large cities/metropolitan areas ave had shows take place there. NYC, L.A., and Chicago have each had numerous ones, especially New York and L.A.. Boston (any besdies Cheers?) is one of those big cities that aren't huge metropolises that have had one, at least, if not any more; slightly smaller are Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, etc.
I'm wondering, what are the biggest locales *not* to have a show take place there. it would be interesting what the biggest town is not to, but also, how small you have to go; let's not go below 250,000, though, to keep this sane :-) One of the biggest cities that I'm nto aware of any show taking place in is San Diego. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most talk about L.A., or a suburb, or maybe Malibu...but while the Bay Area gets quite a few, nobody seems to mention that city, despite its being in California. It wasn't a sitcom, but Dallas, of course, had Dallas - but have any other shows been set in Houston or Dallas? Philadelphia? |

I don't believe that there have been many popular sitcoms set in New Orleans.

Any shows set in Omaha? I think there was one set in Kansas City...Malcolm and Eddie maybe? But I can't think of any others.

Nothing that I know of has ever taken place in St. Louis.
It seems like not much has been set in cities in Florida either, besides the Golden Girls and a few other shows in Miami. Some other cities I question: Baltimore Denver Albuquerque or anywhere in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North or South Dakota, Arkansas or Mississippi |
