In season 6 Blanche gives Rose some advice on how to deal with Miles during the St. Olaf drought. After suggesting that she tweaks his nose and says" my my sir I do believe your jealous" Dorthy says "shouldn't she be overcome by the vapors?" What does that mean!! I watch the G-girls nearly everyday and can't for the life of me figure out what she means. Is it Vics Vapor-rub? Some kind of bodily fumes? Yuck! Any help here would be fantastic. I have officially stopped watching season 6 disc 2 until this matter is resolved... well maybe not officially!

In the classic 1939 movie, Gone With The Wind, Scarlet tells Rhett Butler she is "overcome by the vapors". It's a classic line and a parody of Southern culture. Check out the movie.
