MTV did Britney dirrty!
They canceled her original performance at the last minute. Claiming that erotic dancing, magic tricks and illusions were too controversial-- plus Palm's Casino didn't want to cover the insurance costs either.
As of this morning, Britney was planning to bail. MTV convinced her to reconsider and she went along with their "James Bond" idea with the condition that the opening monologue wouldn't contain any mention of her kids. They agreed. Sam Lufti, Britney's pal, overheard Sarah practicing her monologue minutes before Britney's performance. A fight occurred with producers, ending with Britney in tears. She went ahead and performed. Producers claim she was purposely unenthusiastic. Interesting. Sources X17 |
