Arabella?? You would think that the heavyset lady would have been more agggressive after that since he was willing to be alone her with her over the southern beauty. But She just started acting regular and no longer came after him the way she did when she first arrived at the Apartment

I think she realized that he was just being nice to her and was not really interested in her. Of course, I agree, I'm surprised she didn't still try to put the moves on him, lol.
