Joyce missed the episode Stanley's Hotline so they had the actress who played Jack's girlfriend,Linda staying in the apartment until Janet came home from visiting her parents

You're kidding! I always thought she was the sensible one. Just for that episode, though, seems strange.

I agree. I find that hard to believe considering she was against it when Suzanne held out for more money.

That's exactly what it sounds like. Nothing like the pot calling the kettle black.

No, you're exactly right. She was being a hypocrite.

Except, that was a season 3 episode, and Suzanne didn't demand a pay raise until season 5. So, after the whole Suzanne Somers incident occurred, maybe Joyce decided not to be greedy?

Yeah, but what happened though was The producers and Joyce agreed on a raise and the producers tried to take back the raise that they promised her. The reason was that in negotiating with Audra Lindley and Norman Fell for the Ropers, it cost more money than the Producers thought so they tried to take back the raise that they previous promised Joyce. So she fought back.

The Producers were cheap. TC brought a lot of money into ABC and the actors were treated like crap.
