Madderest No Charges against woman who left child in hot car for SECOND TIME and child died!

A 40-year-old mother will not face charges after she accidentally left her 2-year-old daughter locked in a sweltering car for almost 8 hours.

The child was discovered by the woman's co-workers who called 911 as they tried in vain to revive the little girl.

The temperature that day was close to 100 degrees. Inside the car, it was so hot, the baby's skin was covered in blisters.

The tragedy has caused heartbreak and outrage in the close-knit suburb outside Cincinnati, because prosecutors have decided not to press charges against the mom.

It turns out this isn't the first time the woman, Brenda Slaby, has allegedly left her child unattended in her car. Just the day before her daughter Cecelia died, cops checked out a complaint that the child was left in the car while the mom picked up her older daughter from school.

But local prosecutor Don White says Brenda Slaby simply made a mistake. "If I have nothing more than negligence, I have no crime. And people are having a hard time understanding that," he explained.

She was picking up donuts at a bakery for a staff meeting, then drove to work, parks his car and walks into the school building, without realizing she was leaving her child asleep in the back seat.

WT.........................pluck????????
Since WHEN isnt this a crime??????? Negligence leading to a childs death is a criminal offense everywhere ELSE; what kind of laws do they HAVE in that state?????????? Just the other day, i was on one of my long walks, and there was a family picnicing in the park, but, their baby ( 18 months old at the most ) was sleepingin the car, in his/her car seat, yes the windows were down but, even that isnt completely safe with the car sitting stationary, out in the hot sun..........PEOPLE JUST DONT THINK!

Touche!

The news showed a videotape of her getting the donuts down from her car at her workplace. What I don't get is how she didn't realize her child was in the backseat of the SUV while she retrieved the donuts. It appears she removed the donuts from the BACKSEAT! I wish I could see that videotape again.

And the fact that she left her child THE DAY BEFORE IN HER CAR IN THE HEAT AND WAS CAUGHT AND A POLICE REPORT WAS DONE, AND STILL! SHE LEFT HER CHILD AGAIN THE NEXT DAY FOR 8 HOURS! Something tells me maybe, just maybe she did this on purpose. Perhaps she didn't want to be burdened being a parent?

I am so sick of this "I forgot my baby was in the car" bullsh*t. How the hell do you forget your BABY is in the car!
I can't believe this monster isn't being charged! Maybe if action had been taken the FIRST TIME this innocent little baby wouldn't be dead.
Gee, I hope those in charge can sleep at night

I have plenty of words I'd like to say, but this is a family board. The only thing I'll say is:

Perhaps we should make forgetting certain things a crime. Like humans.

Forgetting your keys, gotcha. I'm forgettful a lot. But I can't say that I've ever been so "distracted" that I forgot a kid. I'm in charge of well over 100 kids at a time every day, and gee, I still mamage to remember if I left one of them somewhere.

How can you forget that you've left your child in a car? It makes absolutely no sense at all, and this woman should be charged with some sort of crime, accident or not.
