MG: (Walks in with a fresh tray of crossiants.) Jo, did you finish stocking up the shelves?
J: Yep. Not one more box that wasn't put up Mrs. G.
MG: (Smiles)
T: (Counting the money for the day)
N: (Helping Tootie)
MG: Tootie, Natalie, what's the total?
T: So far $234.00..
N: But still counting!
MG: Ooo looks like we're getting serious money today! Blair, have you swept the floor?
B: (Is sitting down in one of the chairs) Mrs. Garett, a Warner doesn't just wait for one to remind them to do their work! A Warner does it with independance and gracefullness.
J: (Rolls eyes)
MG: Oh..well alright. You can go then.
(Blair leaves the store.)
T: Ya know, sometimes I wonder.
J: About what? Why Blair is so full of herself?
T: No! I wonder how all of us managed to stay together. I remember when you and Blair graduated from Eastland, Jo. I thought we would never see each other again!
N: And we were split up to get new dorm mates, Tootie.
T: And we have one person to thank for that. (Looks at Mrs. Garett and smiles.)
MG: Oh..it couldn't be me, could it? (Smiles)
(They laugh.)
T: Well, I'm done counting the money. $250.00 for today.
MG: Thanks, girls.
N: Anytime. As long as I get some of the money. (Smiles and leaves following Tootie.)
MG: (Smiles)
(Later that day)
((The girl's bedroom))
J: (Trying to study for a history exam.) Gosh..why do we even need to know this junk?!
B: We? I thought only you needed to know it!!
J: Shut up Barbie doll.
T: Guys will you just stop fighting?! Me and Nat are trying to play a game of cards while having fun if you don't mind!
N: (In a boring tone) Tootie, right now if they continue fighting the fun level of this game will not be effected.
(The phone rings.)
B: (Answers it) Hello? Daddy! It's so good to talk to you! How is everything?? Oh..everythings perfect with me. Same as always. I get up every morning..curl the bottom of my hair..make sure my perfume..(pauses and stops talking)...w-what? (Goes pale) No..it's not true. It's a lie!
N: (Looks at Tootie)
T: (Curious)
B: (Looks as though she is going to cry. She throws the phone against the wall and runs out of the room slamming the door.)
J: (Gets up and runs after her)
N: What the...
B: (Runs into the kitchen) Mrs. Garett I-I- have to go. (Tears form in her eyes and she gets her jacket on and runs out the door.)
J: Blair!! (Comes running down) Where'd she go!?
MG: She left..why???! What happened?!
J: Her dad called and she threw the phone against the wall and just ran out!
MG: Oh dear..something horrible must have happened!
J: But what?!
(Tootie and Natalie come downstairs)
N: What's with Blair?!
T: She just barged out of the room!
(They all stare at each other.)
