Default Hey Irene, Will You be watching this new HBO Show?

It is called "Tell Me You Love Me."

Porn, entertainment or both? The big buzz for HBO shows this time around is a new drama called "Tell Me You Love Me," which even some of my younger colleagues keep referring to as "porn." Producers and HBO executives repeatedly discounted the porn label, preferring to call it "extremely realistic intimacy," but I'll just tell you there is a lot of sex, a lot of nudity and a rather shocking scene with Jane Alexander, who plays a marriage counselor, "prepping" her own hubby for some action.

"Tell Me You Love Me" debuts Sept. 9, and given the advance drooling over the sex scenes (male critics, just so you know, do not use porn as a negative term), the show is guaranteed a huge initial audience.

Why is it being made into such a big deal? Like HBO never shows any erotic, adult-themed shows, programming.

They are saying that the sex scenes are so explicit, critics have been wondering if it was simulated are actual. LOL

Wasn't there a similar controversy over a scene that actress Chloe Sevigny did for a movie? I can't recall the movie though.

Those stupid critics, haven't they ever seen those stupid "TV-MA" movies that show late at night on cable and it is soooo damn obvious that what looks real is really fake.

The movie was called Brown Bunny and she did give legitimate oral sex to actor/director Vincent Gallo.

I just found a site that showed the pics UP-CLOSE. DAMN!!!! I had assumed they were saying it was real for publicity purposes. Not only that, I figured if it looked real, then maybe it was a "fake" private part, made to look as if it was his.

Everybody insists it was real, including Sevigny. She has become an accomplished actress and her admitting to that certainly wouldn't help her career. LOL

She is considered an indy actress, so I am sure she is pretty much ok with the fact that she will continue to get steady work in that mainstream. She has an academy award nomination under her belt. My feeling is she is just fine with where she is as far as being an actress. Something abt her I really admire. She isn't into the kind of movies that assure a blockbuster reaction. She doesn't seem to worry abt keeping her name in the press. Too many actresses seem to just pick movies simply for the $$$, the press, the attention, etc. And of course, she is on HBO in Big Love. The girl is doing great. She is PAYING THE BILLS.
