When I "clicked here" I was directed to LAST WEEK'S RANT THREAD. Just to let you know.

Anyhoo, Solomon, what can I say. You are right. Why give BN a celebration when other shows have had their anniversaries? What abt when Aaron Spelling passed away, where was the memorial by airing maybe a few of his hit shows? That would have been nice.

It was a good rant. Simple and to the point. I agree about Bob Newhart. Why give his show a marathon and not other shows? This could also be a test for the network to see if it does well enough to add fulltime, but besides that, I don't see any real point for it at all.

I see your views on TubeTime. For people like me, who are proud (in less extent) payers to Comcast, and when I watch TubeTime I want to see shows I can't find anywhere else. They've been airing WTB? season 1 now since it came, so why not move on? But then, there are other people who may not afford to buy the season 1 DVD, and can watch it for free at TubeTime.

Don't forget, TV Land made a Bob Newhart statue, honoring his character, Bob Hartley. So TV Land is obviously a fan of "The Bob Newhart Show."

And I was directed over to last week's rant and kept trying to figure out why everyone was talking about the weather. lol

And why celebrate a 35th anniversary for one sitcom and not the other? Maude started the same season and is getting no kind of celebration this month and just like BN, not on the TV land schedule. I can see celebrating the 50th anniversary of a show but 35th? I never heard of a 35th anniversary celebration until 2007-lol

TV Land programmers remind of the Deejay's at a radio station here in philly, they always play Islely Brothers because THEY think it's lassic music like how TV land think about BN.

I'm sure in 5 years we'll see the 40th anniversary too. There are many shows on their lineup, or not on their lineup that we're more popular than BN, that they could have done an anniversary special for. The Jeffersons' had its 30th in 2005, and they did nothing. I Love Lucy had its 55th anniversary, which is quite an accomplshment, and it went unnoticed last year. I guess they must be huge fanatics about the show over there. That almost makes me want to hope that no one watches it.

It was a disgrace how TV Land treated Aaron Spelling. They should have had a marathon of his best shows.

Refresh. The link was fixed hours ago, but there was publishing problems. You found the thread, so why are you worried still?

They have done 35th anniversaries before, Beverly Hillbillies and Brady Bunch comes to mind. Usually they do anything like 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, etc. They did a Soap 25th, Three's Company 25th, Brady Bunch 30th, Three's Company 30th, Hillibllies 35th, Brady 35th, MASH 35th, Trek 40th, Andy 45th, etc.

I agree with you Solomon, I do find it odd that a 35th anniversary is being celebrated. The show was good, but could wait for 5 more years. lol

Because others may accidently post on the weather rant rather than here. I almost did that until I realized the error.

The blog was fixed about an hour ago. So people who click now will get the right link. You visited before that, so you have to refresh to see the update.

I wonder if there a chance of seeing the 35th anniversary of the Jeffersons on the night of January 18, 2012-lol
