First two seasons on DVD

As a pretty big fan of The Bill Cosby Show, I also like The White Shadow. The Bill Cosby Show was a sitcom, The White Shadow is more of a drama with a little comedy mixed in. It's also a more realistic show. Another difference is The Bill Cosby Show is a half hour sitcom and The White Shadow is an hour long. It's been said that The White Shadow got it's inspiration at least in part from The Bill Cosby Show, there have always been comparisions between the two shows. In The Bill Cosby Show, Bill Cosby is clearly the lead character and the other actors in the show more or less blend in to the episodes. With The White Shadow, it's more of a group effort with the coach and the cast of characters on the basketball team.

I'm glad these first two seasons have come out on DVD, I guess the one fly in the ointment is one episode, THE OFFER, is cut on the DVD. I've watched a couple episodes so far, and the show is just as good as I remember it. If the third season comes out on DVD, I'll buy it for sure to complete the collection.
