The Pointless A$$ Troubleshooting Section for Electronics-lol - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Anyone ever try looking in the troublshooting section for a TV , radio, VCR or any kind of electronic and get the OBVIOUS SOLUTION?-lol

For example, TV does not come on, It maybe because IT"S UNPLUG?????? HUH???

Why do they even have those dumb ass sections?? Tonight my caller Id wasn't working on my phone and when I looked at rthe troubleshooting section it said-CHECK THE PLUG. Anyone else hate that PointlessShooting Section?

I rarely look at a trouble shooting section for the exact reasons you pointed out. They load that section with the obvious. However, there are knuckleheads out there who need THE OBVIOUS pointed out to them.

I mainly read the first part of the manual and go step by step as if I am setting it up the first time.

Most trouble-shooting checklists will mention the obvious solution first but if you keep reading, You will find some that might not be that obvious and could very well be the answer you're looking for. Even though trouble-shooting guides may insult your intelligence, Referring to them can sometimes save you from paying the repair shop.

It didn't even have my problem in the book.

Now that I know what your problem is, I wouldn't expect that to be in the book. If you had mention that to me last night, I would have told you to NOT bother reading that manual. I would have told you to just call repair.

Troubleshooting sections is something to put your drink on top of-lol
