Former Happy Days star Scott Baio is to become a dad after his girlfriend gave him the good news on the finale of his reality TV show. Baio spent a month reconnecting with his ex-girlfriends to find out why he had always backed out of marriage in VH1 show Scott Baio Is 45... & Single.

And the series ended on Sunday with the actor proposing to his girlfriend Renee, who he was forbidden to see during the filming of the show.

That wasn't the only surprise for viewers - Renee revealed she was expecting Baio's baby.

The show has been such a hit in America, VH1 has booked a follow-up series, which will trail Baio and his new fiancee as they make wedding and baby plans.

Scott looked like he made a lot of positive changes. He showed that he wasn't the same @sshole he was in the previous year. Good for Scott. I wish him and his future wife much happiness and the expected baby as well

Good. He needs to grow up and stop acting like he's 20. I have never in my life seen a 45-year-old man act like he acts. I don't think Renee should marry him because he's just not ready.
