For whatever reason (music rights, exposure, etc) which TV shows would fit this category?
I would say Love Monkey because only the 1st three or four eps were shown on cbs then got yanked and the rest of the produced 8 episodes were shown on vh1. Plus, the music rights would be a pita. Also the dvd rights are owned by Sony. |

SO I DOSEN'T LOOK TOO GOOD. I THOUGHT SINCE THE BRADY BUNCH DONE SO WELL THAT THEY WOULD CONSIDER RELEASING THE BRADY BRIDES. AFTER ALL TABITHA HAD ONLY 13 EPISODES & IT WAS RELEASED. SO WHO KNOWS |

I'd say the biggest one of all is The Wonder Years. The show had like 5 pieces of music per episode, so it's just about impossble to see the show on DVD with all the original music.

What's the hold up with Batman (1966)? Doesn't it have something to do with who licences it? And with shows like The Wonder Years and WKRP the companies have to decide whether to release them cut up and w/ music replacements or not release them at all. Even though seaon 1 of WKRP was released I'm sure sales were low due to the boycott by most fans b/c of the edits/replacements.
There are also a TON of series that ran for like 13 episodes that we will probably never see on DVD unless they star someone famous. |

Ironically, isn't the hold up with Batman due to the theme song rights? Anyway, here is my list of shows that I feel will never see the light of day:
Patty Duke My Three Sons Dobie Gillis Love Sidney (probably not much demand for this one but I liked it quite a bit) Newhart (due to Fox cancelling The Bob Newhart Show) Rhoda (due to Fox cancelling The Mary Tyler Moore Show) |

I doubt very much that Amos 'N Andy will ever be released. A represenative from Columbia House told me several years ago that they were in talks with CBS about releasing it on VHS as part of their Collector's Edition packages but nothing became of it.
