Default Cat Deeley Takes Pop At British TV Viewers

Cat Deeley criticises Brit TV audiences

Cat Deeley criticises Brit TV audiences

Cat Deeley has taken a swipe at British live TV audiences - accusing them of being boring.

The former Stars In Their Eyes host admitted that she much prefers fronting So You Think You Can Dance? in the US, because American audiences are far more enthusiastic and fun.

"You can barely get [Brits] to get out of their chairs. It's as much as you can do to get them to clap," Cat is quoted by The Sun as saying. "But the Americans go mad. They're brilliant. They scream and go wild."

Asked why she decided to leave the UK, Deeley explained: "It's a smaller market. I didn't want to take every job I was offered and everyone to get bored with me."

I love Cat Deeley! She's the perfect hostess of So, You Think You Can Dance? and she does bring a great deal of energy to the stage. I also enjoy her great rapport with the dancers and with the judges. I can't wait for the next season to begin!

i have to be honest by saying that i wasn't a fan of hers when she presented tv shows in the UK. but since she presented 'so you think you can dance?' i think she has done well for herself. and even though i live in the UK i have watched the second season of the show on the internet and i think that although i don't like reality tv shows, this one was and is pretty good. there is a british equivalent called dance X, which was shown recently but that programme was, in my opinion crap compared to 'so you think you can dance?'

yeah, i agree with you on that. but dermot is on every bloody show. that lottery programme on the bbc, big brother (which is now finished), x-factor, god almighty . as for ben shephard, he's doing gmtv, was on dance x to name. though it isn't just the fact that they are on tv, every time we switch on the telly, i just find those people with almost no personality to speak of. ant and dec meanwhile are back on tv with that saturday night takeaway crap. to be honest i never understand why a lot of people in the UK like watching them
