Default How Would The Show Have Been Different If Mike & Gloria And The Jeffersons Never Left

What Would The Show Have Been Like If

-Mike And Gloria Never Moved Out Or Never Moved Away and They Lived With Archie And Edith For All 9 Years.
-The Jeffersons Never Left And They Continued Living Next Door To The Bunker All 9 Years
-The Lorenzos Stayed On The Show For All Of it 9 Years
-Teresa Never Happened
-Stephine Never Happened
-and Lionel was never Replaced By A Different Actor.
-Lionel never Got Married
-The Willis Never meant The Jeffersons or The Bunkers The Same as Mother Jeffersons Never Meeting The Bunkers.
-Maude Spinoff Never happened But She Continued To Be A Recurring Guest star
-Archie Bunker Place Never happened But Still Ended in 1979.
-We Would Never Meet Florence Or Bentley If The Jeffersons Stayed.
-George Only Owned 2 Dry cleaner and we would never see him have 7

Default 'AITF' Fantasy show

For me the season the Jeffersons left and Mike and Gloria take their former home is the beginning of the end for 'AITF'.

Watched 'Maude','Good Times' and 'The Jeffersons' when they all first aired in the '70's but can only handle watching 'Maude' (on DVD) now. My brother bought 'GT' and 'TJ' on DVD but could only get through a few eps before boredom set in.

Looking back, 'GT' and 'TJ' seems to me to be bad decisions for their own shows. On 'Maude' the Evans family had two steady incomes but on 'GT' they were always struggling to get ahead and it was always "whitey"s fault. That story line got old real fast for me.

On 'TJ' George became a buffoon. He seemed to be less in command of his world than when he was on 'AITF'.

'Maude' was a staunch liberal/Democrat on 'AITF' and that is what she was on her show. No problems there, for me.

Maybe the downfall of 'AITF' is President Nixon's fault. After he was out of office their seemed to be no more political humor. Or at least not as much as when Nixon was in office. However, there is always a goldmine in politics that could be satirized.

Mike and Gloria could have been better dealt with. Mike could have graduated college, stayed in New York and taught to inner-city kids to have his 'agenda' to fight Archie with. Gloria could have gone to college herself and upon graduating further her feminist agenda.

The '70's had much more going on for the writers to deal with but maybe the turn-over of writers showed that they didn't have the talent for creating new and interesting ways for the Bunkers and Stivics to cope with the changing world.

Either way I still love watching 'AITF'.
